Spring Cleaning Checklist for Busy Cleveland Families

Spring in Cleveland means longer days, warmer weather — and the annual ritual of opening windows and finally tackling those areas you've been ignoring since November. But with kids, jobs, and everything else on your plate, where do you start?

Start with a Plan

Don't try to clean the whole house in a single weekend. Break it down room by room over 2-3 weekends. Print this checklist and check items off as you go.

Kitchen

• Empty and wipe down all cabinets inside and out

• Deep clean oven and microwave

• Clean refrigerator coils and wipe down interior

• Scrub grout on tile backsplash

• Wipe baseboards and light fixtures

Bathrooms

• Scrub grout and recaulk if needed

• Clean behind and under toilet

• Replace shower curtain liner

• Wipe down exhaust fan

Bedrooms

• Rotate and flip mattresses

• Wash all bedding, pillows, and duvet covers

• Dust ceiling fans and light fixtures

• Vacuum under beds and furniture
